Today, as the sun rose over the assembly grounds of Deepalaya Sr. Sec. School, Gusbethi, the air wasn’t just filled with the morning breeze—it was charged with a sense of purpose. I witnessed something far more profound than a formal ceremony; I witnessed the birth of a new generation of leaders.
Guided by our eternal motto, “Lighten to Enlighten,” we gathered today, May 18th, to officially induct the Student Council for the 2026-27 academic session.
The Heart of the Ceremony
There is a unique kind of magic in seeing a student transition from a learner to a leader. The highlights of the morning still resonate deeply:
- The March Past: Seeing the House Flags flutter in the breeze as our council marched with rhythmic discipline was a powerful reminder of the strength found in unity.
- The Conferment: As we pinned the badges and draped the sashes upon our Head Boy, Head Girl, and House Leaders, I saw a shift in their eyes—from excitement to a deep sense of duty.
- The Solemn Pledge: Hearing the collective voice of the Student Council taking their Oath of Office was the most touching moment of all. It was a promise of honesty, sincerity, and unwavering commitment.
A Message to Our New Leaders
To our newly elected members: Leadership is not about the sash or the title; it is about the lives you touch and the example you set. As I shared in my address today, true leaders serve with humility and lead with courage.
You are now the torchbearers of the Deepalaya legacy. The school has entrusted you with this mantle because we believe in your potential to Lead, Inspire, and Transform.
